How to measure a Vent Grille

Overall Size

Measure the width and height of the ductwork opening in the wall. DO NOT MEASURE YOUR OLD VENT COVER.

If your ductwork opening is 14” wide x 6” tall, our solution is absolutely perfect for you. If your ductwork opening is any size smaller than 14”x6”, our solution will still work for you - but will require screws (screws are provided) for installation

Installation FAQs

Please read our FAQs page to find out more.

How Do I Install My Impeccable Air Return Vent?

Take the screws out of the old grille and remove it from your wall. If you have ensured that the ductwork opening for your new grille is a 14” x 6” opening, install the Impeccable Air Vent using the tool-less installation method as shown above.

If the ductwork opening is smaller than 6” tall, use the provided screws to secure the backplate to the wall, then put the filter in place, and finally snap the front cover on.

What does rated MERV 6 mean?

MERV ratings go from 1 to 20 with the number’s increasing with the filter’s efficacy. As a pre-filter, a MERV 6 filter is more than effective at keeping out harmful pollutants and allergens and does not cause a considerable increase in static pressure on the furnace.

A MERV 6 pre-filter aids in asthma and allergy relief by trapping particles in the 3.0 – 10.0-micron size range, including:

Dust, Lint, Pollen, Dust Mites, Mold Spores, Pet Dander, Carpet Fiber, and many more.

In this system, the MERV 6 pre-filters at each register work to increase the life and efficiency of the more expensive furnace filter. This allows the furnace filter to trap the smaller particles, which maximizes the indoor air quality (IAQ) in your home.

What is activated Carbon? And what does an activated carbon filter do?

The removal of gases and odors must also be considered when discussing Indoor Air Quality (IAQ). Odors and gaseous pollutants create an unpleasant environment and can seriously affect health and productivity.

The pre-filter media consists of Activated Carbon, which works to adsorb atoms, ions, and molecules at a molecular level to maximize the removal of contaminants, including gases, odors, chemical vapors, and volatile organic compounds.
